Established in 2003 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, The Fins Up! Foundation for Female Athletes is an organization dedicated to empowering women and young girls to create healthy lifestyles for themselves through participation in team sports. The Fins Up! Foundation is focused on producing positive, safe, and fun environments that encourage women and young girls to become involved in team sports, and creating a wholesome experience for those who support them. The agency, through its programs, teaches the concepts of teamwork, goal-setting, self respect, and positive self-image.
